HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF PORT LOKO CITY COUNCIL

Port Loko City Council was established as a Municipality in 2018 following a boundary delimitation exercise conducted in 2015, based on the results of the 2015 Housing and Population Census.

The Council consists of 15 elected Ward Councilors and serves as the primary urban governance body responsible for development, service delivery, and administration within the municipality.
